About Solution Driven Technology: Technology and Operations for Advisory Firms

The outsourced technology and operations department for your advisory firm.

Solution Driven Technology (SDT) is an independent technology and automation consultant founded by Jason Roberts, based in North New Jersey and serving financial advisory firms nationwide. SDT automates workflows, configures CRMs, cleans data, builds reports and runs IT. It works primarily with financial advisory firms and also takes on other businesses on prepaid block time, a set of hours bought in advance.

What does Solution Driven Technology do?

The work falls into three groups: Advisor and Firm Operations, IT and Technology, and Marketing and Client Outreach. The method is the same in each. SDT looks at how your practice runs, finds what is slow or done by hand, redesigns the process and builds the technology to carry it.

Who founded Solution Driven Technology?

Jason Roberts is the founder and owner of Solution Driven Technology. He has more than 30 years of experience in this kind of technology work. He built the firm to help financial advisory firms run more efficiently. He works inside the systems an advisory office runs on: the CRM, Microsoft 365 and the tools around them. He also builds custom software and runs the IT those systems depend on. The person who designs your process is the person who builds it, and the one who answers the phone afterward.

Jason is a long-time North New Jersey resident, and the firm is based there. Software work runs remotely, so SDT serves firms nationwide. On-site IT, including networking and phone systems, is available in the North New Jersey region.

How does an engagement with SDT work?

Most engagements begin with the CRM and operations audit. You receive a written findings report and a prioritized list of fixes. Then the work is built. Every solution goes through your firm's compliance review before it goes live. SDT prepares what the reviewer needs.

Which platforms does SDT work in, and how does compliance review work?

SDT builds automation on whichever platform your firm's compliance has approved. Power Automate and Zapier are two examples, not the limit. One advisor automation was rebuilt from Zapier into Power Automate to meet one firm's requirement. It passed that firm's compliance review. SDT works in Salesforce, Redtail, SmartOffice, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Power Automate, Zapier, Office Scripts, eMoney, MyRepChat, Mailchimp, Calendly, GReminders, Egnyte, Albridge and Holistiplan.
