CRM and Book Migrations for Advisory Firms

You open the new CRM with a book that has been checked record by record.

Your book of clients and policies lives in one system today and has to live in another. Solution Driven Technology moves entire insurance and advisory books into Redtail or Salesforce, and checks every record once the import is done.

What does it mean to map an import?

Your old system keeps a policy number, or the link between two people in one household, in its own field. The new CRM has a place for each of those, but under a different name or in a different spot. Import mapping is the list that pairs each old field with its new one. SDT writes that list before anything moves, so a policy number lands where staff will look for it.

Why would the same client arrive twice?

Because the old system can hold one person under two spellings, and an import copies both. Removing duplicates means finding those matches and keeping one record. SDT does that before the import, so the duplicates it finds are not carried into the new CRM.

What happens to blank policy fields?

Policy values are the figures and details the CRM stores about each policy. When a value is missing in the old system, the import brings over a blank. SDT fills missing policy values. In the two insurance books SDT has moved, those values came from carrier data, the record the insurance company keeps for each policy, so the new CRM did not open full of blanks.

What has SDT moved?

SDT has moved two advisors' insurance books into Redtail. The work included mapping the import, removing duplicates, filling missing policy values from carrier data, and checking every record after the import.

Does a migration go through compliance review?

Every solution goes through your firm's compliance review before it goes live. SDT prepares what the reviewer needs.
